A little bit about yours truly

Well hello, thank you for taking the time to read this! My name is Gabrielle, but I also go by Gabby because that's easier for most people. I just turned 20 this past weekend, so that was exciting. This is my second year here at UCSB as an Environmental Studies Major. I absolutely love the ocean and its beaches, so attending this university was a no-brainer. I'm from Bakersfield originally, which is located in the Central Valley south of Fresno and North of LA. I like to think that I am an outgoing person who is really down to earth and likes to brighten anyone's day. My friends say that I am funny and a joy to be around, but that’s up to you to decide! Family is really important to me and a big influence in my life. Honestly, I have more fun hanging out at family gatherings than at any party in IV. I don’t really have any special hobbies in particular, except for eating and working out-which I only do because I love to eat so much! As for my taste in music, I listen to a wide variety here and there. My roots are mainly 90s R&B (Aaliyah, Jagged Edge, etc.) and 90s grunge (Pearl Jam is my favorite, Alice in Chains, etc.) but I also enjoy country, alternative, jazz, and “twerk a lil sumthin” music. I have two dogs back at home named Charlee and Trixie that I adore more than anything. I also love travelling. I’ve been to Australia, New York, and Mexico, and when I have the time/money I will be expanding my list for sure. You’d probably learn more about me in general conversation, because obviously I am not as good writing about myself as I am talking, so don’t hesitate to strike a chat!
